Letter To The Future President

My letter talks about the characteristics I'd like to see in the future president.

9/29/16

Dear future president,

I expect you to lead our country with wisdom and sympathy. The person who leads this country must be experienced and charismatic. You must also have a special concern for your people, along with common sense, and moral values.

Nothing bugs me more than a greedy leader who cares more about his own benefits, than everybody else’s. Part of being a president means respecting, and earning respect from his people. You must do so by acting with sympathy, and showing kindness to everyone. Now, it takes more than just sympathy to lead a country. A president must be determined in what he knows is the right thing, while also basing it on the opinions of the people. A president is not there to represent his or her opinions, but those of the people that don’t have enough power to do so. A president must know what issues are going on, both big and small. There are many issues in the world that don’t get enough credit and are never heard about, because they are cosidered not important.

Nobody is perfect, but you will be looked upon by many and will have to know how to make us proud. You must know how to act in case of any emergency, when all those around you may be showing fear and cowardness. Being a leader takes more than just the title, but the actions that prove such a title, and the responsibility that comes with it.
