Animal Abuse

Animal abuse is a serious issue in our country. Lets put an end to it.

October 13, 2016

Dear Future President,

I am writing about animal abuse because I think it is important for all animals are treated as if they were humans since we are animals too.

Animal abuse is intentional harm or cruelty towards animals. I donโ€™t think any animal should be harmed if they are not hurting or damaging something else. Its been estimated that there are 900-2,000 new cases every year of animal hoarding in the us, with 250,000 animals falling victim.Today dog fighting has been reported in urban, suburban, and rural settings in all regions of the country. Dog fighting became prevalent In the us after the civil war, with professional pits proliferating in the 1860s. And was a source of entertainment for police officers and firemen.

In conclusion, I think you as the future President, should strengthen the penalty of animal abuse so that less and less people will do it.

Sincerely,

Mason
