Bullying

Bullying is one the major thing that teens confront. Bullying can cause lead to depression, anxiety, and many more negative things.

Dear Future President,

I want you to hear me out. There have been many problems caused by bullying that people should look at. Bullying should be addressed because many kids can’t focus in school, or some kids commit suicide and they think they're not important anymore. This means kids don't get the opportunity to see how life is beautiful when you achieve a lot.

When I was little I used to get picked on because I was smart and they called me names. That really got me down and I didn't think I was important anymore. But I started playing soccer, and that helped a lot because I was so motivated to play the sport I love. I am not embarrassed to say I used to get bullied. According to stopbullying.gov, 15% percent of high school student’s grades 9-12 were electronically bullied in the past, and 49% of children in grades 4-12 report being bullied by other students at least once during the last month.

Bullying can cause many things like depression, anxiety, ADHD, and many more things. With this happening, many teens commit suicide and their family can do nothing about it because teens feel embarrassed to tell their parents about their situation. There are many different types of bullying, such as verbal, cyber, or physical bullying. People should not bully each other because you may feel strong in the beginning, but in reality you are pulling yourself down and the person you bullying is getting stronger.

Many people think that bullying is not a serious issue, but they're not the one facing the issue. There is even bullying of people based on sexual orientation. There is no reason why they should get bullied because everybody has different feelings.

As the next president, these are some of the many reasons why you should look at bullying. I believe you are one who can stop this issue. Bullying should be addressed, so students get the education they need to be successful in life.
