Dear Next President,

Many countries have been targets of Isis which is a very bad group. The attacks that have happened have been tragedies like the 9/11 plane attack, and the Paris shooting. I feel our country, and other countries are in danger because the amount of terrorism that is happening, and has happened throughout the past 20 years.

According to statista, terrorism has caused around 130,000 fatalities worldwide. If we do not stop this, terrorism will kill millions of people and the human population will decrease majorly. Also, according to pbs, 32,658 people died in 2014 from terrorism, which is an increase of 80% from 2013. This rate will keep growing and terrorist will keep killing innocent people if armies do not do something to fight back.Wikipedia talks about a major terrorist attack that millions of people will remember forever; the 911 plane hijack. This happened in New York City on September 11th, 2001. Hijackers took over 4 planes and crashed 2 of them into the twin towers/ world trade centers. And 1 of them crashed into the government pentagon. Around 3,000 people were killed that day for one terrible reason, terrorism.

Wikipedia also talks about another major terrorist attack that happened just a year ago. This is the Paris attack. A gunman and suicide bombers attacked many locations in Paris, France. This includes a major stadium, restaurants, bars, and a concert hall. Nearly 130 innocent citizens were killed that night because of terrorism.

One possible solution is from dhs. Dhs states that if countries around the world buy technologies that can detect explosives it will help cut down the rate of hidden bombs that terrorist plant to kill people. Dhs also states that countries like the U.S. and Syria can build information partners. In other words we would team up with other countries and communicate about terrorist and terrorism activity. Mondoweiss states that we could close drone bases so we eliminate drone terrorism including the U.S. This would decrease the amount of citizens’ deaths. Another way we could prevent terrorism from happening is to improve transportations security. This would decrease the amount of terrorist hijackers majorly. It would also prevent terrorist from traveling places so they can’t hurt any civilians. I urge you to make this a priority during your term as a president. Thank you for your time.
