Dear Mr/Mrs.President,

A big issue in the United States today is gender inequality. A big issue with gender inequality is the fact that men and women do the same job, but men get paid more than women for it. According to Pew Research Center published by Time, women are still only earning 93% of what men are and over the years that makes a huge difference.

A root cause for gender inequality is the fact that most of the CEO’s for companies are men and think that men are supposed to be paid more. According to Catalyst.org “women currently hold 23 (4.6%) of CEO positions”. The main reason is because men are more respected whereas women are disrespected , but I feel like women are a lot stronger and more professional. The main way to fix this problem would be to create a law where men and women are to be paid the same doing the same job. These are stereotypical reasons on why men and women are treated differently we are segregated by our gender when we're all the same on the inside nothing is different. According to the Fiscal Times “research shows that gender characteristics do exist and play an influential role in the workplace”. These are just some of the issues we need to stop in the United States.

Sincerely, Chloe S.
