Kneeling During National Anthem

Colin Kaepernick is kneeling during the National Anthem. There is now a huge uproar across the nation.

Dear Next President,

I think not standing for the national anthem is one of the most disrespectful things a person could do. It's disrespectful because when someone stands for the national anthem, it pays respect to the people in the army that risk their lives for our country. Colin Kaepernick is protesting against racial injustice and police brutality in the United States.  He wants to stop the police from killing black people. I agree with him, but he should still stand for the anthem and use a different way to protest.

He should use social media to protest instead of not standing for the national anthem. He should use Facebook or Instagram instead he is disrespecting the army and the USA.

Refusing to stand for the national anthem shows disrespect for the flag and the army. I would never sit down because my grandpa and my cousin were in the army. The people in the army risk their lives to save us and Colin Kaepernick does not support that when he does not stand for the national anthem.

The president should make a statement that it is a wrong thing to do. Everyone should stand and be proud to support the army. The army is really thankful when people stand because it gives them pride. Next President, do this!
