Dear Next President,

My name is Ja’kaurie K. I live in Grand Rapids, MI. I am Pro-Life. I stand strong when I say, I believe deliberately ending a pregnancy by abortion is wrong and no matter how significant the reasoning for abortions they should be against the law. According to Merriam-Webster’s Learner’s Dictionary online abortion is a medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the fetus. There are many reasons women have abortions. A women could have been raped, have health risks, not be ready to have a child, focused on their future, inconvenient, the baby may have birth defects however I believe there are alternatives to abortion.

I believe one tragedy is not solved by another tragedy, health concerns don’t go away if you end pregnancy, rape isn’t erased by killing a child. Last year my mom wanted to have an abortion with my baby brother, that wouldn’t have been a good idea because today he’s living a great life. He’s always joking around and putting smiles on lots of people's faces including mine. A life without him would be so bad Mr./Mrs. President. Another reason why we shouldn’t have abortion is because the baby wants to live It’s life too. If you were raped by your father or anyone you don’t know it happened for a reason. I was born for a reason, you were born for a purpose. Purpose means “the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists”. You don’t have to believe In Jesus Christ or have a religion, just think about why you are here you’re a great Individual who was born to be happy and smile and too have a great family and live your life to the fullest.

We shouldn’t just talk to the people that aren’t Christians or who has a religion, It’s honestly your decision. I know Jesus Christ and I know If you made this decision he wouldn’t be mad at you, It’s just so hard to think about ending a baby’s life a small child. I went to a site with lots of quotes about purpose and this one really sparked me. “I feel the reason we are all here, our purpose of being, is to help others find their little piece of happiness and heaven right here on earth.” ― Ken Poirot

That’s saying to me you should have this baby because everyday people are suffering from pain and the more people on earth or who’s growing up can always help. So many good things out of a bad thing you can’t let a man who raped you take your joy and happiness away. You have a purpose on this Earth and your baby does too. I know It will be really hard living a life with a baby that you had because you were raped but there’s another solution give it up for adoption give him or her up to a family member. That baby wants to live just as much as you. Mr./Mrs. President I am against abortion and taking a baby out of this world and I think It should be different ways to handling rape and abortion Isn’t It.
