Dear President of the United States,

     1.2 million American women have an abortion every year. Abortion is when the birth mother wants to end a pregnancy due to personal or health problems. There are many reasons for the birth mother to have an abortion, for example rape, unwanted pregnancy, birth control failures, etc. The choice is made, but it is wrong for the child and needs to come to an end.

     Abortion is the result of the child not able to be born from the decision. It affects the mother the most because the child’s life is taken away. “Women who have had an abortion are most likely to become depressed for long periods of time”(After Abortion). It also affects the parenting skills from the parent.

     There are other options that have a better result than abortion. “ Birth mothers could meet adoptive parents through internet service” (American Political Solutions). Although abortion is one of the choices, it is the worst one possible.” By raising the cost of abortion and providing options to birth mothers , society could decrease the amount of abortions and full fill the adoption requests”                 (American Political Solutions).

     Abortion is not the only answer for an unwanted pregnancy , but it is still used as one. Too many is not good for the society, it is killing innocent human beings. I want the president of the United States to take away the choice of an abortion, BUT that does not mean the birth mother gets punished for her decision.
