"Everyone deserves to live"

My point is that just because they can't pay for the medicare or insurance that they need, doesn’t mean they don't need it. In other words there is no reason as to why any human being shouldn't get the medical treatment they need to survive.

Dear Mr./Madam President,

Congratulations for winning the election, I am a 14 year old freshman in high school in the state of Missouri. Please visualize my thoughts, this is a really important topic to me. It means a lot to have you read it.

Uninsured people don't get the same rights as the insured. Doctors treat the uninsured differently. My aunt got cancer and the doctors didn't find it until she was on the floor not able to stand up. She ended up going to a hospital in Kansas where they found that she had stage 3 breast cancer. About 23% of the uninsured postponed their doctor checkups because of how much money the clinics ask for and because “They don't want to deal with the doctors attitudes." 8% of the uninsured are innocent children. Due to not being able to pay for the medicare that they need doctors, clinics, or even most hospitals don't bother on the uninsured. My point is that just because they can't pay for the medicare or insurance that they need, it doesn’t mean they don't need it. In other words there is no reason as to why any human being shouldn't get the medical treatment they need to survive.

Work, work, and work to pay for the chemotherapy I need to survive in this cruel world where the doctors treat you differently. Everything it took for them to treat me. Me lying on the floor not being able to stand up. This is a cruel world. The people without insurance get hunted down from the bills that they have to pay to the doctors for saving their lives. It's not right to a patient, insured or not, to not get the medical treatment they need because they don't have a few papers. Nobody should have to pay for healthcare. According to a info graphic by a executive healthcare management organization about 22,000 uninsured adults die because they don't have medicare. This has to stop. Nobody should have to die because they can’t pay for a few papers. Nobody chooses to get cancer or get sick. Everyone is worth fighting for.

Thank you for reading my thoughts.

Respectfully,

Rubi
