Kneeling During National Anthem and Other Problems on the Football Field

Reasons we should do something about inappropriate gestures, dances, and disrespectful actions in the NFL.

Dear next president (Donald Trump),

I really hope you consider doing something about people sitting down or kneeling during the National Anthem, it is completely uncalled for and isn't necessary. Colin Kaepernick has been kneeling for the National Anthem and hasn't been punished once... He even started this Sunday. How is this helping America in any way? If anything it is making it worse, now people at schools sit during the anthem because they think it's cool an NFL player can. Well to me that is wrong that is disrespecting the men and women that fight for our country.

It is starting more riots and strike about how blacks aren't treated correctly. To me this is just a big mess that will get even worse if we don't do anything about it. Honestly this ties into many things, the NFL must doing something about this because there are plenty of inappropriate gestures and dances on the football field. The game of football isn't the same anymore, it's full of show offs and everything else. This ins't teaching kids at home how to act on the football field.

I just wish these kind of things would no matter what cause flags on the football field. But back to the most important issue, this whole deal with kneeling for the Anthem completely ridiculous, the player that started it was Colin Kaepernick but now it is spreading to others. His quote, "At what point do we take a stand and, as a people, say this isn't right? You (the police) have a badge and you're supposed to be protecting us, not murdering us." that is just about the stupidest comment I have ever heard in my life, guess what? The reason they are getting shot is because they do stupid things to cause police to. I just don't understand, this isn't just complete disrespect for the men and women that fight everyday and risk their lives for this country but it is also embarrassment.

Pat Tillman a linebacker and free safety for the Arizona Cardinals played football, he was a great player, tons of people loved him and respected him. He didn't play for the money he played for the game. And once September 11, 2001 happened to pass, he decided his football career didn't matter anymore, he left the NFL to join the rangers. This is an example of who these people are disrespecting. But yet, they think that they are doing the right thing, well ya know what they aren't. SO hopefully you will help this country and do something about this.

                                                                                                                 Sincerely,

                                                                                                                                  Trey E.
