Dear Future President, 

My name is Ivonne Cortijo. I am currently a junior here at Community Academy Of Science And Health. My issue of concern is about gang violence. My position on this topic will be about how it is not okay to keep taking innocent lives away and all because of  gangs. This is important to me because I am surrounded by this cruel gang violence and all the issues it brings. I feel like it needs to stop because families are hurting a lot because their loved ones are being taken away from them. It should be important because our next president should focus on stopping violence because the strategies that are being used now are clearly not successful enough because there is still a lot of violence happening.

Our next president should come up with  a new way of getting gang members to put their guns down and of getting rid of them.
