Suicide
My letter is about how many people commit suicide
November 3, 2016
Dear Next President,
Hello my name is Nicole. I believe that suicide is becoming extremely dangerous to everyone. Suicide has become a big issue in the last decade it has risen to 1 person committing suicide every 16.2 minutes. And innocent people are killing themselves because of bullies, rough times at their house, parents fighting, and abuse these things are getting way out of hand.
According to dosomething.org nearly 30,000 americans commit suicide every year. Imagine how many people die from suicide in the world. Each suicide intimately affects at least 6 other people. What if one of those people were you. You would feel so sad and angry you might lead to committing suicide. Look at it this way you might lose your best friend in the whole entire world. And they could commit suicide that would make you super depressed and lead to you committing suicide too.
Also, according to donordrive.org suicide is the tenth leading cause of death in the U.S. And there are two times the deaths by suicide than HIV or AIDS. We should all be careful and pay attention to each other. Talking to friends can help you feel like you donโt need to commit suicide and make you think to yourself that you are unique.
Finally, I think that that making weapons safe where no one can get them except for the person who has a license for it, or just keep it somewhere else besides out in the open or your house. Also according to lifeline.org tell someone like their parent or their teacher so they can help. And lastly try to stop bullying and tell the person nice things about them.
Sincerely,
Nicole
