Help the ones most in need!

Dear Ms./Mr. President,

Every year about ½ million immigrants cross the border. Imagine how many years they have lived in fear? Having to hide their whole life. Many die to make it to the border and make it to American soil. You need to help them they need you.

Hello I live in Watsonville,California and I go to Lakeview Middle School. Well what I wanted to discuss to you is about people who do not have papers and what I mean is Mexicans without papers.I Am concerned about this because many families take a risk to cross the border to go to the United states to get money for their families and some don’t even see their dads or moms for many years. Some kids grow up without their parents at their side. I have seen on TV people crossing the border by hiding on top of a train and some don't even make it because they fall off and get run over. Or by walking across the hot scorching desert that could kill you from the intense heat without food or water or could get sick. There would be animals that could kill them and people who steal and kill are also by the border. My position on this is that I think that you should give papers to the ones most in need of them.

For example the Mexicans that are poor in Mexico and the United states they need a job to help themselves or their families. People without papers makes it harder for them to get a job because you need papers in order to get a job. If they do a interview for a job they could be reported and be taken back to Mexico. Did you know that their were 11.1 Million unauthorized Immigrants in the U.S? Imagine how many were parents? Dads? Moms? Also siblings brothers? Sisters? Imagine how many were suffering and separated from them.

Many of them had no choice but to work in the field’s sometimes the police comes or what they call La Migra which takes away immigrants back to Mexico. When I would be in my car and going to the store or something I would see many field workers suffering carrying heavy crates on their backs. In the sun and cold many work early in the morning and come home late at night extremely tired from bending down all day and they are not payed as much. Some people started at a young age to help their family.Imagine that everyday they worry if they will be sent back? Imagine that you are crossing the border in the dark with a group that you are with also crossing the border for their own reasons and all of a sudden you hear men and see bright lights shot right at your face, You could immediately think that it is La Migra armed with weapons and hand cuffs ready in their hands. When I would see things like that I would feel bad for them.To think living in so much terror and having to hide. I have had enough and I want to help them but I have no way that’s why I turn to you.

In Conclusion, What I was thinking what you should do is give papers to Mexicans. So they could get a job and bring their family back with them. So they get more money to get food and things that they need.

Sincerely,

Wendolyn G.F
