tax cuts

though many americans are wanting of tax cuts they are not as good as you would think

Dear future presidents

Tax cuts would be a poor decision

many americans want and have been all for taxes to be cut but if taxes are to be cut that would cause issues and price increase in other departments so there shouldn't be a tax cut.

To start, When you lower the tax the government needs to make the money another way so by lowering tax you raise the prices of other goods for example in a proposal that the government made in the past they proposed to take the sales tax from 7 percent and lower it to 6 percent in a matter of two years by doing that they need to increase the price of gas by about 23 cents this is showing that because the government was to cut sales tax it would then raise the prices in another department in this instance it is gas prices this would be bad because though it supports some consumers it affects others and even for some has a very large poor feedback

Also, when household tax cuts are made it mainly affects top households and they are the main people who see benefit from the tax cut where households not at the top don't see much of it if any. Over 50 percent of all the bush tax cuts went to the top 5 percent of households the bottom 60 percent shared less than 13 percent of the tax cut instead of the trickle down effect promised we got stagnant wages for the middle class Americans while the wealthy had become fabulously wealthy. This is saying that if we were to do the trickle down affect tax cuts (which seem very popular to presidents) then it would not work there would be a point at primarily stopping.

Furthermore, when tax cuts are made the economy is statistically average rather than when the tax cuts are not made the economy can reach its peak and grow more, for example in 1981 when reagan had implemented his tax cut and in 2001 when bush had implemented his tax cut the economy had simulated no net growth in fact it had been lower than when the cuts had not been in place. What this is showing is that when those presidents had there tax cuts in place the economy had gotten worse instead of getting better or even staying the same.

In conclusion, as good as tax cuts seem to americans it is not as good as it may show itself and there are many downsides to it whether it is in the near or far future

sincerely ,
