Money to the Music

Music programs in high schools should be given the same amount of money given to "important" sports.

Dear Next President,

I am open and even exciting about electing a new president of the United States and unlocking a new chapter of Americas extensive history. But there is a problem that I’ve been seeing more and more recently in many school districts in Southern California and I am almost 100% positive that many others are included in this. The school districts have been giving more and more money to the major sports that high school is represented by. (which doesn’t even improve them) I believe that more money should be given to the music programs in high school because this is the most influential time of a students life and this it makes the difference of having a successful and fulfilling job or working at McDonalds or 7/11.

The music industry is a great group to be a part of. If you are serious about it, you are most likely to find work in this industry. Because we don’t get enough money, I feel we are disrespected and not paid attention to. If this changes, more people will want to join and more students will get involved in the industry. This will positively effect their future and make their life successful. Since all districts want to be able to teach and train their students, I think this will be a good change to the United States along with your presence in office.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to share my idea and I will be excited to experience a change.

Sincerely,

Theo Sturm
