Justice?Equality? Is that given in court cases?

In today's society, whatever we thought was fair in the penal system is actually wrong; we aren't truly provided with a "fair" and "equal" court.

Dear Next President,

To our 45th president of the United States of America, I unfortunately must inform you that I am three times more likely to incarcerate than any other child. Reason being is that children with absent fathers or if their dad is in prison are more likely to be incarcerated. Most of these are given long sentences without the thought of they’ll be taking from and the dire effects of it.to me prison sentencing needs to be revised and looked into because we have rapist and killers get a slap on the wrist, fathers getting a belt, and the sexist input that over rules the court between a woman and a man when the same crime was committed. In which I beg of you to please fix the penal system because I wish to have equality and justice properly served.

Brock turner for example was charged for sexual assault and rape but was sentenced six months in prison because it would be to ‘’too harsh on him’ ’states court now please tell me that does that sounds like justice to his rape victim! All because of what, his family is loaded with cash and white, now I know not all courts are rigged or bribed but that surely sounds rigged. Now women are sentenced 63% shorter than their male counterpart when the same crime has been committed, you may say it’s because that’s because more likely to be mothers but it turns out two thirds of women are mothers that don’t live with their children. If you’re a white woman you’re more likely to serve time less time than a black woman, men are getting a harsher and longer time, because as stated from thegoodmenprogect.com, ’’people forget that they’re not only there to protect us but they’re primarily there for business’’! Thegoodmenproject.com also states that their business is booming because corporations using manual labor of those who don’t even get paid the same as minimum wage they don’t even make 40 bucks at the end of a month if you ask me it’s almost like legal slavery with a couple steps in between for American companies with the excuse that ‘’they broke the law’’!

Once again I know that men in there are more likely there with the fair trial but such harsh conditions and exploitation when killer and rapist roam free in which it has to be fixed! Grated that yes it may take time and a bunch of documents and paper work but it has to be done. If anyone really thinks about it prison runs on tax payers’ money and those plucked of the streets and shoved through the sum what fair court system. After all we need to have a background check of for those of families, the effect upon the convicts(job, families, pets, sentencing, etc.),and the effect upon if the person were to be taken out of society for example ten years to be incarcerated. Yes i know that each and every person who comes to court with a family can’t just go free or get a really short sentence when crime has been committed but i believe a justified and fair sentence can be come to an understanding. the process of revision could take forever and would delay court yet it’s worth it if you think of the good and benefits.

All in all enough is enough the penal system needs to be fixed. We are losing tax money, taking parents for a ‘’time out’’ way to long, letting those guilty of unforgivable crimes go free, and yet abuse convicts who’ve learn the price of breaking the law at a sentence shorter compared to the sentence they must serve for corporate labor. Justice, order, and equality it’s what were asking, demanding, and deserve cause what’s the point of keeping a jaywalker for five years? What’s the point of keeping a father that’s needed cause kids asking mommy where he is!?After all it’s not what kids see on tv,a game they bought and play,or the kind of music they hear that gets them in prison and saying goodbye mama cause they won’t be able to see them for the next decade cause of a flawed system and a lack of not having a father so you tell me is it that meaningless to put someone in prison without giving a second thoughts about the effects and if time was fair to him? So help out a child have an equal chance to not end up behind bars.

Sincerely,

Brian P.
