Letter to future president

Dear Future President, My name is Gabrielle and I go to a school in the Suburb of Cleveland. I would like you to know about the gun control in the U.S.A. The amount of deaths from firearms are affecting families and friends in their everyday life. 82 percent of the people that die are from firearms. 40% of guns that are sold are sold by people aren’t even legalized to sell guns. What does this tell you? There is anywhere from 270 million to about 310 million guns in the United States. In Texas, people are allowed to walk around with firearms. Students in Texas are nervous to go to school because legal guardians can walk around the school with a firearm in hand. So, with that being said, I am asking for mandatory background checks before being allowed to purchase any types of guns. I am trying to lower the amount of deaths from firearms, because there is anywhere from 270 million to about 310 million guns in the United States. This shouldn’t make anyone comfortable. Now, imagine if you lived in Texas, and your child was scared to walk around the city. Wouldn’t you want the laws to change for you child to feel and be safe? Also, imagine you having a student who made a mistake with another student. Wouldn’t you be scared if that student you made a mistake with parents walked into your child’s school with a firearm. If you don’t care about this issue about a kid’s life endangered, than you have no right to become are future president of the United States of America. I can’t say that I know what it feels like to be in the position of that circumstance because in my state open firearms are not allowed. It is like you focus on the smaller pictures rather than the larger picture. You need to focus on the things that will affect us further in the future. This needs to change before it keeps progressing and gets worse!
