Letter to the President
I am against animal testing.
Dear President - Elect Trump,
Animal Testing is a huge problem in our society today. Animals are killed or kept in captivity. In animal testing, lots of animals are experimented on and then killed after the experiment or injured. Many of these animals received tests for substances that will never be used for something useful. Animal testing costs an enormous amount of money. The animals must be cared for and fed and treated with a similar experimental substance. The price of animals themselves are very expensive. There are companies who breed animals for testing. The animals can purchased through the companies.
Animal testing can also lead to misleading research because some medicines or products that are harmful to animals can actually be valuable to humans. For example, Aspirin was almost arranged because it was dangerous for animals. Animal testers didn’t realize that it helped humans. Lots of animals that are tested on are not protected by the Animal Welfare Act (AWA.) In 2010 only 1 million animals were protected by the Animal Welfare Act, leaving about 24 million animals unprotected. Lastly, plenty of animals lives are wasted. All the test that are failed, the animals either suffer or get killed during the experiment or after the experiment. Thank you for taking your time to read my letter and have a nice day!
