College Tuition:Free or Not?
College is in many students minds as they graduate high school. Many of those students want to attend college but don't have the funds to do so.My main point in this letter is that college should be available to those who want to attend.I hope you consider this letter for further review.
I think college tuition should be free for various reasons.College can benefit everyone who puts forth their best efforts to attend. It can open doorways you never thought you would have no matter how much money you have or don't have.It can help you pursue your dreams and get a better education.A better education is better for anyone.
Now I will talk about those various reasons I mentioned earlier. One of those reasons is money. 40% of low-income students don't attend college their first year because of the lack of funds their family has. I think if a student shows interest in college but can not afford it,college should be free to them. The government should have a national program that students can enter to see which individuals show the best interest. The ones that show the best interest should not have to pay tuition to the college of their choice. This could show students college is not impossible.
My point is that students shouldn't be turned away from college just because they or their parents don't have enough money. There are ways around this problem.Students could get the best possible education. Many Americans would go to college I believe if the funds were available.Thank you for reading this and I hope this concerns you.
Most Respectfully, Taylor Fitt
