Dear future president,
Something must be done about the increase in violence and gun control laws for the safety of myself and future generations.
I would like to talk about an issue that is important to me. I know you probably hear about these things a lot, but I really want to give you my input. As everybody knows, there is much violence going on around us. I hear about somebody dying or in the hospital almost every week. It breaks my heart to know that there are people out there that can commit such a terrible crime and feel no remorse. Those are the people that need to be stopped.
Everybody has there disagreements on things, but that doesn't mean they should rage out in violence. What are you going to do to decrease violence? Because to me, it looks like something needs to be done. I don't think you should take guns away because guns do protect people. However, I do think there needs to be certain restrictions on who can have them and who shouldn't. What will be your stance on determining these restrictions?
In conclusion, I hope you will take my questions in to consideration and help explain what your proposals on the issues of violence and gun control will be. I am afraid without wise intervention what the safety of the America that my children and grandchildren will be. This is why it is so extremely important to me. I know without any action the problem will only continue to escalate. Thank you for taking the time to address the concerns that I have.
Sincerely, Shelbi McManus
