Marijuana and Guns

Legalization of medical marijuana and voting against gun control.

Dear next president,

As our president, I'd hope that you'd like to make some changes for the better. I have a few points that I would love for you to consider. First off, I think gun control should not be permitted since it is a right we have as U.S. citizens. Another point I'd like to bring up is the legalization of marijuana, because of all of the improvements it's been shown to make in the world of medicine.

When it comes to gun control, it doesn't seem as if there should be any questions about it. I say this because the amendments clearly state that you have the right to bare arms. People need to be able to feel safe in their own homes but with gun control, that may not be possible. Guns have been around for a very long time and to try and control our rights to not own them seems like a very poor decision. My point is, guns make people feel safe, like they can defend themselves and I don't know why anyone would want to take that away from someone.

My second order of business is, as I stated before, about medical marijuana. Marijuana has been known and factually stated to help certain medical conditions. Cancer is one of those conditions. The THC in marijuana can wrap itself around cancer cells to minimize or even remove them. It can also help with depression and anxiety tremendously. In all reality, there is no bad effects of medical marijuana. If medical marijuana is something that can help people and even cure cancer patients, I definitely think it should be legalized world round.

In conclusion, gun control and medical marijuana legalization are two very considerable and non considerable points. I think you should ban gun control and legalize medical marijuana. There are many things that need to be fixed but this can definitely be a start.

Sincerely,

Emma Neuberger
