The Unemployment rate needs to be fixed.

This letter is addresses unemployment, and the problems with our economy.

Dear President,

“I know 3 trades. I speak 3 languages. Fought for 3 years. Have 3 children. And no work for 3 months. But I only want 1 job” (Sandwich board carried by an unemployed worker). Some people really need jobs to support their family. But their are only so many jobs to go around. I strongly believe that we should create more jobs, and lower the unemployment rate.

Unemployment has been a big problem in the past years, but we are at the best rate since 2008. According to http://www.tradingeconomics.com there are millions of people in the United States that are unemployed, about 7,436,000 people in the United States. Since Barack Obama has been our president, we have lost 8.8 million jobs. 10.3% of americans at the age of 16-24 are unemployed.

Most jobs require a degree, or a college education. According to http://www.bls.gov/ 46% of jobs require a college education, and only 65% of people that graduated high school go on to college. 500,000 jobs are not filled because the employers say they can’t find good workers for the job. We need to fix this problem. Also 40% of american's think college is a waste of money, and won’t prepare them for the real world. Not only do people think college isn’t going to help them, but employers can’t find educated workers to fill the jobs. In order for this country to attain full employment the economy has to grow, and it will never grow if we don't fix the actions being taking.

Unemployment has been an issue for our country for a long time, but we are working to fix it. Since 2009 we have cut the unemployment rate in half. The unemployment rate in 2009 was 10%, now it is less than 5%. We are creating many jobs to fix this. According to http://www.unemploymentoffice.org/ since 2010 all net jobs created were full time jobs. We have hit a first base hit, but we are working to hit a home run.

I understand why unemployment is higher because some of the regulations this administrations has put in place has killed jobs. We’ve lost jobs over seas, and as well in blue collar cities. With new regulations and lower taxes this will bring back jobs and companies to this country. This will create multiple new job opportunities, lower the unemployment rate, and kick start our economy to a better future. If we start to tax the companies to make products out of the country and sell it here they will move back to the States. This will create more jobs for american's, and also help our economy.

All in all, I believe that we should create more jobs for the people of the United States. The unemployment rate is low, but I believe we can make it lower.

`Sincerely

Chris F
