Dear Future President,
Imagine how you would feel if you were being discriminated because of you your gender?
That’s how women feel. Discriminated just because of their gender, and that’s wrong for a women to feel less than a man, because we should all be treated equal. Women should be treated equally.
Feminism is very important because every gender should feel as worthy as the opposite sex. WE ARE NOT EQUAL IN THIS COUNTRY. Some are given more rights than others. Some people come here for a better life, not to be discriminated against. Everyone beliefs different things and everyone should feel safe with believing what they want. Even though gay marriage is legal, Gay people are still being discriminated against. Nobody should feel less for loving someone. Everyone should be who they are without getting judged.
LOVE IS LOVE
Do you know how unfair the paying is to women at work? Did you know The average women will make $430,480 less than her male counterpart over the course of 40 years of work. All human beings are born free and equal in dignity rights. That means women should be paid the same amount of money as men for the same job. According to an article by Bryce Covert, “Women are earning 80 percent of what men are earning.” How is this fair? Everyone should be treated equal.
The Washington post reports a few more; out of every 1,000 rapes only 100 are reported, but only out of those 100, only 30 faced trade, and only 10 were put in jail. Which means that after 998 rapes we still have 998 people who raped other, innocent people, walking free. Girls are taught from a very young age how to protect themselves and prevent rape or assault, like not drinking or wearing clothes that show too much skin. Girls should be allowed to wear whatever they want without a guy being all over her or rapping her. Guys shouldn’t be attacking or rapping girls in general. We always focus on the victim and what they were doing, but never focus on the rapist that cause rape, NOT TANK TOPS AND DENIM SHORTS.
Feminist believe that women and men should be treated equally. We want girls to be taught how not to be an “easy target” and instead start teaching now to stop sexually abusing our women and men. What do you think about this future president? Because it sounds like a nightmare to me.
