Pro Choice On Abortion
Defending women of every race on how abortion is - and should be - an option.
Dear Future President of the United States,
My name is Olivia and I am a senior at Santa Clara High School in California. I am here to defend every women because being a women is a daily struggle, especially when we try to explain to anyone why abortion is a big issue. I am pro choice, because I understand that it is a life that is being developed little by little, and day by day. There are people out there saying that it's just a fetus, or it's not alive. It makes me wonder how many people that are saying things like that are male. For, they can not give birth, or go through the pain that women do during birth.
In my opinion, I sometimes want to say to men - but I don't - that they should just give birth to a watermelon, (I hope that made you smile or let out a laugh) so that way they would somewhat understand what women go through. I am pro choice because everyone deserves a chance to live their own life. Whenever I get the chance to, I ask pro life people questions like: "Who is giving birth to that baby?" or "Are you the one heavy with child?". It is the women's choice whether or not they want the baby or to have an abortion.
It should be the women's choice whether to have an abortion or not. I understand that the Earth is over-populated, but that doesn't change the fact that this a matter of life and death. I am also aware that even though there is one person (roughly) that dies a day, during that one day, there are roughly four babies being born. Even though people are not dying more than people are being born, we can not control that. We can, however, control the choices we make, and the challenges we take. Because 90% of life is based on the choices you make, and the challenges you take. This choice is making the decision whether to save the babies' life, or have an abortion. The challenge is to spread the pro choice on abortion to every single person.
Because it is her body, her choice.
Thank you for time and best of luck to your term,
Olivia G.
