Dear Future President,

What do you think of guns? There bad like everyone would say but they do help us in dangerous situations. But what i told you that some people are using guns for harm instead of defending themselves. That’s what happened in a nightclub in orlando. A person walked into the nightclub with an AR-15 and killed 49 people and injured 53. The reason that person did it is because he was disgusted with men and men relationship and the nightclub only accepted men. So that person went to that nightclub and let out his rage by shooting the people in the club. So i think we need more strict gun laws for the safety of humanity.

The reason we should have strict gun laws is because there were lots of deaths in the past years and i still happening today. According to Gun Control Isn’t the Answer it says “Federal prosecutors brought a total of 5,082 gun violation cases in 2013 recommended by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, compared with a record 8,752 prosecutions of ATF cases brought by the Justice Department in 2004.” This is why we should make stricter gun laws because a total of 5,082 gun violation cases were made in 2013 which is a lot in just 3 years ago. Another reason why we need strict gun rules is they should ban certain guns and take the guns that the owner has. According to Gun control isn't the answer. We already know how to stop the violence it says,“Further gun-control measures in the United States will have limited effects because of the hundreds of millions of guns that already exist in private hands.” This is why we need more strict gun laws because if they ban a certain gun the people who own it will hide it from people’s sight so what you can do is find the people with the guns and take the weapon. One more example is that there a lot of deaths involving weapons in a year. According to Gun Ownership with Stricter Controls Could Reduce Gun Violence it says, “Guns are responsible for roughly 30,000 deaths a year in America; more than half of those deaths are suicides. In 2010, 606 people, 62 of them children younger than 15, died in accidental shootings.” This is why we need these laws because lots of people are either killing people or themselves and a few were kids which is really sad for those kids to die at a young age

So i bet you're wondering what can you do as a president. Well it's simple you can ban certain gun and make strict laws for the guns banned and purchasing a gun. And for the people who have the guns and hides them from the public just do a check of the people who purchased the gun and take it from them. And all of this would be a reminder to all these people who lost their lives in that nightclub when the shooting happened. So my point to you is make strict rules on guns for the safety of people and stopping shootouts once in for all. And all of this would be a reminder to all these people who lost their lives in that nightclub and other people who lost their lives to shooting around the world.

Sincerely,

Jaime Ramos
