Standardized Testing
It has to go
To whom it may concern,
My name is Lauryn Franklin and I am a senior at Berkeley High School. I first want to congratulate you on winning the election. I am excited to see what the next four years with you as president has in store. Until this year's election, I haven't been interested in politics whatsoever. However, this election has sparked my interest. Now that you are president I would like to express one of my concerns to you. I would like for standardized testing to end. I am a senior now and it's hard enough to make the grades to get into the college of my dreams. It gets even harder when I have to sit through a four hour test filled with things I've never learned before and my score determines my future. I don't think that a test should decide whether or not I qualify to get into college. I hope that you read this letter and take this into consideration.
Thank you,
Lauryn Franklin
