Pollution is slowly killing our home. We don't notice that our everyday activities is creating lots of harm into this environment. Whether people are polluting the land, air or sea, we need to put them into realization that they are one of the main causes of pollution. We need to prevent them from doing worse. I’m not saying that everything we do hurts the environment, but many things do. I believe you know more about this problem than I, so I ask for you to help me, stop our nation from getting hurt, and possibly stop our world from getting hurt.

There are many types of pollution: air, water, land, etc. Although they are different, many of these are caused by us, the humans. As our technology advances, we think that it’s making our lives better, and we feel as if it’s a necessity in life. But do you really think it’s worth it? As we are trying to make ourselves better, we are also creating pollutants ready to hurt no only us, but the other biotic things

Many causes of pollution are hard to stop. We, the people, want what’s best for us, and it’s difficult for us to stop and change our daily habits. We drive our vehicle almost everyday, to transport ourselves to places. As you know, most of those vehicles burn fossil fuels, making harmful gasses and pollutants be emitted. We use non-renewable resources to make energy. We throw pieces of trash away where it doesn't belong. It makes it harder for people to clean, it makes the environment look bad, and it also harms the environment. All the littered trash will end up in an ocean full or dump or inside an animal’s mouth. As trash, gas, and chemicals, keeps spreading throughout our environment, our natural land will disappear within a matter of time.

Air pollution spreads bad pollutants into the air, making people and animals breathe in the toxic air, leading into illnesses like: lung cancers, heart diseases, etc. Water Pollution, it affects our access fresh water. As I have learned in my elementary days, there is only 3% of freshwater in the world, and only 1% is accessible for humans, plants, and animals to share. Land Pollution, we destroy the land we were meant to live on. We mine, we cut down trees, we contaminate the soil, and all for our community. We destroy homes of the animals, we give plastic them to eat, we contaminate the air for them to breath. As the population grows, we destroy land, plants, animals for our own desires. We want our community to grow better, but yet we create pollution, and global warming.

I know you can't decide on everything, but you can most certainly help. You could encourage and spread the ideas of preventing pollution. Give a statement: Use your bikes to travel, throw your trash in the correct place, recycle, reuse, save electricity. My voice isn't enough, but with you are an important aspects to many lives is the citizens. Our voice on the problem is the easiest thing we can do, as more people realize the problem and how the impacts and effects is on them, they’ll be sure to help out on saving our nation. Another thing you could do, you could add renewable sources to make energy, such as solar power, wind power, hydro power, and much more. We can discourage the use of energy through burning fossil fuels. Although the costs are high in the beginning, it’s all worth saving in the end.

Pollution may seem like a minor problem right now in our nation, with the war, protests, bullying, drugs, and violence happening, but pollution has already affected many countries out there. Pollution is one of the biggest global killer, affecting over 100 million people. How long will we wait until there’s nothing we can do? How long will we wait until the air kills more of us than the war, until the deaths of family hurt more than the bullying, until the dirty water makes us crazier than the drugs? We want to ‘Make America Great Again’, how about start by making a notable change.
