Dear Future President,

I am writing this letter to tell you, my thoughts on animal abuse. I think animal abuse is wrong. Animal abuse has millions of animals dead or badly injured. I myself get emotional when I see an animal dead or hurt. I feel animal’s lives matter just as much as ours. I get heartbroken just to think about what people do to animals and pets.Some examples of the abuse are, Dog fighting, plain old abuse, and puppy mills.If you agree that the abuse is wrong, can you please donate money, rescue an animal from a shelter, or maybe even help an animal on the streets.

There are many different forms of animal abuse. An example is dog fighting. Dog fighting is a felony in all 50 states but, people still set up dog fights just for entertainment. I feel this is wrong because the dog that loses is most of the time killed or abandoned. So to me and to many other people angry to see what people do for entertainment. So again I think you should give the people who set up dog fights a big punishment. For example they can set their sentence in 1 year of jail. So please help this problem.

Another form of animal abuse is plain old abuse. People sometimes just hit the animal just for doing something they couldn’t help doing. For example, when a pet needs to use the bathroom and they couldn’t wait, they might go inside the house. I understand that people will get angry but there is no reason to hit the animal or lock it in a crate for a long period of time. This can cause what is call matting. This is when a dog/animal gets some imprints on the skin and it is very painful for the animal. This needs to stop! A solution for this is you can make a law where before people adopt, they have fill out a contract and paperwork. We have to fix this problem.

One last form of animal abuse are puppy mills. Puppy mills are when large-commercial dog breeding operations that do put greater priority on the profit than the health of the puppies. I feel that this is a terrible way to treat dogs. Breeding animals to make profit is just wrong. And putting the profit before the health of the puppies, I mean who will not get angry when hearing that? Even worse, when the mother can’t have babies anymore they just kill her.I get really angry because the dogs must be very uncomfortable during this. Imagine if you were forced to have babies for profit and the health of your babies don’t matter. If that were me i would feel so angry. We need to stop this. I feel a way you can stop this is to make puppy mills illegal. Please help our world’s animals. They need help. They are poor helpless animals.

Hopefully these examples made you more eager to help our animals. Please donate, adopt, or even just help animals on the street. Our world needs help with the animals. The poor animals are helpless.
