There is an issue in America with animal abuse and dogs getting killed everyday. Many of these people don´t know that what they are doing is cruel.

Dear Future President,

I am writing you from Watsonville, California. I am currently a student at Lakeview Middle School and i am 12 years old. Are you going to stop animal abuse? I believe that animal abuse is important because animals are being killed every 5 days. Future President, it is important for you to address this issue. By addressing this issue, we will be able to stop this by making sure that animals go to the right animal care so they are ok and not hurt.

Future President, this affects hundreds of animals every year number of individuals in the United States. Animal abuse is just not happening to dogs. Many other harmless animals are suffering too. Humans have feelings just like animals do. They do not deserve this. Animal abuse is cruel and heartbreaking. Why do people get an animal, if they are not going to treat it well?

Approximately 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, approximately 3.9 million are dogs and 3.4 million are cats. As the President of the United States you have the power to raise the fine and the prison time of animal abuse, because way too many animals are abused.
