Dear next president,
The problem I see in our country today is hunting and gun rights. I love hunting i’m from Montana, I have been a big game hunter for three years and I love providing food for our family. In order to provide food for your family you need a gun to take an animal.
The problem I see is people complaining about hunters shooting defenseless animals for no reason. Also some people want to get rid of gun rights because of shootings around our country. That's not fair for hunters who provide meat for families and keep the numbers of animals down in the environment. Hunters help the environment in many different ways by keeping healthy animals alive and shooting the bad old animals that can’t survive for another winter. When we clean the animal by gutting it we leave the bad insides there so other animals can eat it like coyotes and all sorts of birds.
We also help landowners improve their land and help out with things so can hunt on their land. In Montana on CMR land we volunteer to remove old fencing so animals won't get tangled up in wire. Hunters help the environment in many different ways by keeping healthy animals alive and shooting the bad old deer that can’t survive for another winter. When we clean the animal by gutting it we leave the bad insides there so other animals can eat it like coyotes and all sorts of birds.
The thing about hunting is getting people off their couches and getting them outdoors to get fresh air and workout. I don't go hunting to kill the biggest animal I see, I just love getting out with family and friends exploring and seeing beautiful sights.
Hunters are affected by people complaining about hunting defenseless animals also are affected by gun rights, bad people are getting their hands on guns and using them against people.
People should care about this issue because it's a way of life for a lot of people around the world some people live on what they hunt. Also they should care because U.S.A. Has a lot of people overweight and hunting is a way people can get a workout.
The problem I see in our country today is hunting and gun rights.. This essay I wrote is what I think about hunting and gun rights and I hope you can change you perspective on gun rights and hunting.
Sincerely,
Logan S
