Dear Mr. President,

I am try to reach out to you to talk about the ideas surrounding abortion. This is important because lives are getting taken and lives are being affected from people who decide to have abortions. Abortion is also affecting america because it doesn't allow people to have their rights that we were granted 200 years ago and those are the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Abortion needs to be banned because it takes away people's basic rights and it causes an emotional problem within the family

The first reason why abortion needs to be talked about is because it takes away the right for the babies to have life. Everyone in our country has the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness and the baby that has been killed will never be able to experience those rights due to its abortion. This can be seen when stated ¨Pro-life supporters condemn the widespread access to abortion that was ushered in by the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision in 1973. Fetuses should be considered human beings, they argue, and abortion, they contend, is tantamount to murder. "What I have advocated is that we pass laws in this country that says all human life at every stage of its development is worthy of protection (Turner).¨ This quote is telling us that killing a baby is the same as murder so it shouldn't happen because people have the right to live. This is happening in every state of the united states so tons of abortions are happening daily.

The second reason why abortion should be talked about is because it affects people in an emotional way. It not only affects the mother giving birth but everyone in that family. This can be seen when stated¨This can be particularly important where there is a history of depression or other mental disorder that may impact the minor's post-abortion psychological health.¨This quote is saying telling us that people who decide to have an abortion become mentally unstable at some point due to their abortion.

The other side of this argument could state that abortion should be legal and have no restrictions. Some people might say this because they think that people make mistakes in their sexual life. I still believe that abortion should be illegal because every human should have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. No family member should be affected due to an abortion because people in their family can't make smart decisions in their sexual relationships. If people use contraceptives than they won't have to worry about having abortions.

Abortion is a huge issue because tons of people have them everyday. Mr. President, a way that we could make a change in abortion is that we could provide a class in every student's freshman year of high school to teach them about contraceptives and how bad abortion is. They will get taught about how dangerous it is to have sex without a condom. The last thing that the teens will get taught is that not only does abortion affect the baby but it affects the people in the family that would of been there supporting the baby.

Abortion needs to be outlawed because the babies are not guaranteed their basic rights and a lot of mixed emotions will be shared among the family members. Abortion is a huge problem in our country because people are affected physically and emotionally. I would like to thank you Mr. President for taking your time to read my essay.
