Gun Violence
My letter is on gun violence. I think this is a huge issue in the world today and it has to be stopped. To many innocent people are getting killed. I think my letter to the next president will really help and stop the violence.
Dear Future President
Imagine your child die by a gun. It’s sad and upsetting. Many people can just go to any gun store and buy guns. They buy them from other people; get in the hands of a bad person. Many people such as kids, teens, and young Adults. These in nonce people are dying by these guns. Then people parent and love ones have to go through the pain and struggle of their lost. We won’t want anyone to go through this.
Americans own way more guns than anyone else in the world, and our gun related death rate remains dramatically higher than in any other industrialized nation. (Green) More than 30,000 people in the U.S are killed by firearms each year about two thirds of which are suicides. 41 percent of teen’s committee suicide with firearm. Some teens have mood disorders, such as Depression, dysthymia, and bipolar disease, are major risk factors for suicide among children and adolescents. (Michael) Who committed suicide had some type of mental disorder. I feel as that we can get them help and keep these guns away from these teens. They should be locked up and put away. The U.S is only of three countries in the entire world with a constitution that explicitly grantees. Now you have been hear about teens and young adults getting killed or shot by guns. (Jones) These are an important issue in America because they’re a lot of people getting their live taking away.
Gun violence has become bigger in the United States than ever. There have been many trades that have happen to these teens. For example Trayvon Martin. On February 26, 2012 Trayvon Martin got shot by George Zimmerman. The 17 year old was walking back from a convenience store in Sanford, Florida, Where he purchased a pack of skittles and an Arizona Ice tea. Zimmerman said he killed the teen in self-defense after a fight, or maybe because he was black.
In conclusion, I think you should come forth and fix this situation. We don’t want anyone else to be harm. The guns out the wrong hands. The bullying and fighting to stop which cause suicide. Let’s just put the guns and become one as brotherly love.
Sincerely,
Amani fudge
