Foreign Policy regarding safety
There needs to be an adjustment in terms of foreign policy in order for people to feel safe, living their lives.

RE: Foreign Policy
Dear Mr./Madam President,
I am Lily Hernandez, a resident of Sunny Isles Beach, FL, and I am writing because of the current safety issue regarding ISIS in the United States of America.
As you know, we millennial have been going through terrorism within America our entire lives. Ever since September 11, 2001, terrorism has been part of American’s daily lives owing to four airplanes being hijacked and killing thousands of innocent people. The problem regarding terrorism seems to have gotten worse. Lately, more and more bombings/mass suicides seem to be occurring which are killing thousands of innocent people.
When it comes to a more modern episode, my boyfriend was in Disney World during the Orlando shooting in 2016, which is when I started to mistrust the safety of the U.S. Knowing how this nation is today in terms of safety, I am left with uneasy feelings about the U.S. my future children will be living in. These feelings of uneasiness grow, as groups such as ISIS and Al Qaeda seem to be more prominent.
The newest generations of people should not have to be used to terrorist attacks and be afraid of living their lives. I know personally that I am scared to travel the world with everything that is happening around the world. Young people and all people for that matter shouldn’t have to be afraid to walk out their front door and be afraid that something is going to happen to them or their family members.
Now, I am asking you to please take a look at what is going on in the world, and put yourself in the shoes of the people who are being exposed to this problem. Put yourself in the shoes of the families who are losing people due to these terrorist attacks. You have the power to make the U.S. safe; it is only a matter of using the right tactics. Everyone deserves to live their life not in fear of walking out their front door, I am asking you to please find a way to make the U.S. safe.
Thank you for taking the time to read this,
Lily Hernandez
