College Fees

College debt is bad

Dear Future President,

The college debt crisis is even worse than you think. We tell students they need a bachelor and masters degree to get ahead. In the United States, college students who received a student loan owed an average of $26,000. Because of this dire situation, students must avoid receiving any type of student loan to avoid a debt that cannot be paid. The cost of a higher education has become a controversial topic in the last decade. I believe it is really important because there are too many students who are not able to further their education. Even if they do attend college, when they graduate, they are more than likely to be in a situation where they find themselves in debt to the university, the government, or banks because of taking out loans or simply because they can't afford to pay the price of attending college. Essentially I believe that college prices should be reduced to a more affordable price with the use of taxes and the rest of the money would be the student's responsibility.

Sincerely,

Mariam
