Should athletes be able to make political statements in sports? My opinion is that i think that they should because sports are watched by everyone so this is a good way to get your statement out there in the world so everyone would know about it.

So making political statements in sports like what colin kaepernick is doing is a good thing. ESPN had a page about colin kaepernick taking a knee and it said that the reason why he is taking a knee is because of how black people are being treated in America. So people think it's a bad thing they think political statements and sports do not go together. Being a person from America means you have a right to protest in a peaceful way.

Well my dad was in the military so i think it can be done in a different way but i think that the protest is a good thing but be done in a different way
