Animals Care About Us, Lets Care For Them

Animal abuse is a problem, we can not get rid of it but we can minimize it. All animals doesn't matter their size are getting abused or aren't getting the proper care they deserve and that needs to start changing

Dear Future President,

I don't know how stressful it is or how busy you are going to be, but I hope that you can make time to help out the people in our country who either just love animals or are sick to their stomach about animal abuse as much as I am. Please help us feel safe, help us keep our animals safe, no matter their size. Help us get rid of animal abuse. People who abuse animals need to go to jail, there is no okay reason to hurt an animal. If we are hurt, some animals might even gather the attention of humans and they save our lives, how could we possibly hurt them. Animals have done nothing but be our companions for thousands of years, and this is how we repay them.

Based on 1,423 animal cruelty cases in 2011, the most abused victims were dogs, 70.1%. About 21% were cats and the 24.1% were other animals. This is just 2011, the stakes have gone higher since then. Then according to ASPCA, an animal is abused every ten seconds, that is absolutely outrageous. How does that make you feel?  How does it make you feel that people in your country that you are controlling, don't feel safe to hand their pet over to someone who we should be trustworthy? I don't even feel safe handing the leash over to my veterinarian. I can't help but think that they might be hurting my dog, my dog is probably scared and I should be by his side. If I can barely do that, how can I hand my dog over to someone without feeling that they will hurt them. I want to be able to feel safe handing my dog over to someone who makes a living curing animals.

I want to be able to go on youtube to search up pit bulls, and not see people making them fight and bidding on them. I want to search up roasters and not see them fighting and people rooting in the background. I want to search up any animal I'd like and not see people forcing them to fight, because animals are not dangerous. It's the people who are dangerous.

As president, you are in charge of this country. The animals are a major part of this country, so you have to protect them. Animal cruelty is boundless, we have to find a way to control it, to minimize it.

However if you are thinking that dogs and cats or your average pet are the only animals being abused you are wrong. For example, did you know that elephants that weigh on average 6,000-8,000 pounds are being abused. People who are in a circus abuse elephants and other circus animals because they don't want to perform or they aren't trying. Even in Sea World, they abuse their sea creatures if they don't perform well after a show.

This is not okay! Every ten seconds an animal is hurt, every ten seconds there is an animal that needs to be told that its going to be okay. We are their only hope, but we can only do so much. However you the president have the power, the country is in your hands, along with these poor defenseless animals they need you. Please help our communities, our states, our country feel safe again. Help our beautiful animals feel safe again. Please help us, help our animals. Feeling guilty will do nothing, they don't need pity, pity will not save them from a beating or even worse their life being taken away. They need actions, and you are the one who has the power, only you can help us make a difference, please help our country.
