Immigration laws in the U.S.

Keep families together with more flexible policies

Dear Next President,

I believe that the immigration laws should be less strict so that people and their families can all move instead of just one of them. I believe that if they are willing to work hard then they should be able to come to the U.S., just like anybody else from any other country could. This country started by people moving over here and taking land from the people already here. In my opinion, no one should be able to dictate who travels where, because no one owns the earth. You shouldn't be able to tell people where they can or can't go. The whole western side of the U.S. was once owned by Mexico but stolen from them by European immigrants. I feel that it is unjust for our country to tell Mexican immigrants they can't live in a space that was once owned by them.
