Dear Mr./Mrs President, 

My subject is gun control and I found it interesting on how big of a deal it is. What I found out on the websites I've been using is that many people are getting killed by guns, but also many people are using guns in self defence.

My opinion on the subject is that we should have better background checks on people who want to buy a gun. Maybe we could improve them a little and make them more strict. Because we all should have the rights to bear arms.

And, if you take guns away, that's violating the second amendment, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Some people say that we should make guns illegal because of all the shootings and killings, and many others argue that we should keep guns but also make more gun laws.
