Letter to The Next President

I am against animal abuse

Dear President-Elect Donald Trump,

My name is Melina Updale and I am a student here at St. James catholic school in Woodbridge. I am so happy to be writing to you today and I know that you we be a great president. Although you are going to do everything in your power to make America great again can you focus on Animal Abusement as you began your time as president.

In America, animals being used in experiments are commonly subjected to forced feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, and wounds to study a healing process. In a testing called the LD50, the testing involves finds out which dose of a chemical will kill 50% of the animals being used in experiments. The infliction of pain to study on animals effects and remedies, and killing by carbon dioxide, asphyxiation, neck breaking, and other means. Another test called the Draize eye test, companies to evaluate irritation caused by shampoos, and other products, this involves rabbits. The rabbits are incapacitated in stocks with their eyelids held open by clips for days. In the past 8 years, USA has used more than 97,123 animals that suffered pain during experiments while being given no anesthesia for relief, including 1,395 primates, 5,996 rabbits, 33,652 guinea pigs, and 48,015 hamsters. This is a serious situation that if not taken cared of, can lead to extinction. Thank you for reading my letter and I am looking forward to having you as the US’s next president.

From,

Melina Updale
