Dear Future President,

        Aren't you tired of innocent people dying just because an unstable person got a hold of a firearm? Gun laws should be stricter because the level of gun violence has increased tremendously. This is a problem. Each mass shooting in the US is caused by the wrong use of firearms. Americans own more firearms than anyone else in the earth. The US has had more mass shootings in terms of raw numbers than any other country.

       Firearms are involved in the deaths of more than 30,000 people in the US. Every year in the US, an average of more than 100, 000 people are shot. Firearms are not just use for killing others but even for suicide. Many of these deaths can be preventing by making stricter gun laws. This shows that the government needs to take control over the firearms and how, who can use them correctly.  

          Most of the crimes done are used with guns/firearms. Robbery, killing, stealing most of these crimes are done by people that are unwell. And, if laws were strict enough. Those firearms would have possibly never reached those people’s hands and those lives or things won’t have been taken. Crimes and death would also decrease if laws were stricter. This shows that firearms that end up in the wrongs hands are, because firearms laws need to be set.

        On the other hand, the Second Amendment states, ''A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.'' Yes, people do have the right to bear guns. Healthy well mind adults that will use the firearm in a certain occasion for protection, and not to kill innocent people that caused no harm. This shows that people do have rights of owning firearms. And only use it for protection purposes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Gun laws should be very strict, because the level of gun violence has increased tremendously. This is a huge problem that is affecting everyone. And, it's in your hands, president, to take action and solve this problem. Make strict firearm laws to where only a healthy, clean record/background adult will use only for protection purposes in certain situations.
