Rigged Immigration

The immigration laws that Trump wants are wrong and Clinton has a good solution for it

Immigration Laws

Dear Future President,

My name is Xander Martinez, and I believe that you should change the immigration laws. Immigration isn’t the only problem in America. I’m not saying that the problem should be ignored, but illegal immigrants come here for a reason. They want to do what’s best for their family. It’s a terrible thing to split up families, but the people that risk their lives to get across the border are probably in a bad situation in the place they're living in and they want to change that.

I know that many people are in line to become a citizen/get a green card, but I don’t think it’s right to find and deport every illegal immigrant that got into the United States. It would take extremely long to do all of this. Donald Trump suggested to check every person at their workplace or school for their green card. This is just dumb. I agree with Clinton that illegal and legal immigrants deserve an equal chance. If a family is found to be illegal, they shouldn’t be automatically kicked out. I believe that they should be punished, but not a bad punishment. There should be a fine or just find a way to help families get a green card.

Sincerely, Xander Martinez
