Letter to president (Trump)
Hello Mr. Trump, I am writing this letter to you because I fell very deeply about the topic of police brutality and so do many thousands of people in the United States of America. There has been such outrage over the recent “attacks” by policemen on usually African Americans, but there have also been incidences with other racial groups. I think we need to put a stop to this at the root from where it comes from, which is training camp and initiation to become a police officer. Having conversation with the person and or talking to the person could have easily prevented many of these incidents. Not every time will just talking work but it is at least a start because of how many cases there have been. There should be a certain training that has to challenge the police in a live situation with real people. I believe that the more engaged the police officers become with conversation then they will be able to talk down someone into doing something bad or just preventing these tragedies from happening. There have ben cases where a man was running away and the police officer was not being harmed and chose to shoot him in the body instead of at least trying to taze him to keep him under control. By upgrading the requirement’s for graduation academy for policemen I believe and am almost assured that we can live in a more peaceful place with a better equipped police force for dealing with situations.
thanks for your time, Nicholas Russo
