I want the future president to say no to gun control because if we did not have guns how would we be able to protect ourselves or maybe even go hunting and have fun. My first reason is weapons are used in lots of useful ways such as protecting ourselves if we were getting robbed or mugged etc. Guns are not harmful unless they are used in a harmful way. There are at least 270,000,000 guns in the U.S. Plus the second amendment protects an individual's right to own guns. My second reason is that guns are used in war to fight for our rights and guns are used for hunting which people hunt for food to survive. There was a summer 2010 survey that found that 46% of citizens said we need to protect the right of Americans to own guns, while 50% of citizens said it is more important to control gun ownership. My third reason is because I use guns for hunting and for having a fun time. Also I would use a gun if I had to protect my family from a person that is trying to break in or hurt my family. If I had no guns I would be bored when I go to my cottage, I would not be able to enjoy venison from a deer, or I would not be able to protect my family if anything bad happened. In conclusion the future president should say no to gun control because without guns life would be hard,boring, and defenseless. And that is my opinion on gun control.
