Abortion

This letter involves the very controversial topic, abortion.

Dear President Trump,

Many believe that abortion should be a woman's choice. However, many others believe that abortion is an act of murder and should not be allowed. Personally, I believe that there should be some sort of laws in regards to abortion. "Abortionfacts.com" states "Every new life begins at conception. This is an irrefutable fact of biology. It is true for animals and true for humans. When considered alongside the law of bio genesis -that every species reproduces after its own kind - we can draw a conclusion in regard to abortion : every single abortion ends the life of an innocent human being." Abortion ends the life to a baby that could very possibly grow up to be a great mathematician, scientist, astronaut, and/or many more. The "Alan Guttmacher Institute" states that there are 1.1 million U.S. abortions each year. Sadly, nearly 1 in 4 (or 22%) of pregnancies end in abortion. 50% of women that are seeking abortion had at least one previous abortion. Not only that, but many of the procedures of abortion are very horrid and gruesome. On top of that, the Alan Guttmacher Institute shares some very scary risks of abortion. Some medical risks include; infection, heavy bleeding, incomplete abortion, damage to the cervix, and other other internal organs, Anesthesia, sepsis, scaring of the uterine lining, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, and even death. Some emotional risks include, eating disorders, relationship problems, suicidal thoughts, sexual dysfunction, guilt, and alcohol and drug abuse. Later in life, you may have a higher risk of breast, cervical, ovarian, and liver cancer, and even placenta previa, and ectopic pregnancy. In the case that a woman has consensual sex, then I believe there should be laws that prevent abortion.

Sincerely, Zachary D
